1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using unshorten.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2 Service Description

unshorten.app provides a URL analysis service that:

• Follows redirect chains to reveal final destinations
• Performs heuristic security analysis on URLs
• Optionally removes tracking parameters
• Processes batches of up to 200 URLs in bulk mode
• Generates shareable result links (Pro)

We only follow redirects and return metadata. We do not proxy, cache, or store page content.

3 Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the service
• Use automated tools to make excessive requests
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Use the service to facilitate phishing, malware distribution, or other malicious activities

4 Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy or completeness of security analysis
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for a particular purpose

Our security flags are heuristic-based and may produce false positives or miss actual threats. Do not rely solely on our analysis for security decisions.

5 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, unshorten.app and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

6 Pro Plan

A Pro plan is available as a one-time purchase. It grants higher rate limits, bulk processing, and shareable result links. By purchasing, you agree to:

• Payment is processed by Stripe. All billing disputes are subject to Stripe's policies.
• Your Pro key is delivered once via email after purchase. Keep it safe — we cannot recover a lost key, but we can revoke and reissue one upon request.
• The Pro plan is non-refundable once the Pro key has been delivered, except where required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to revoke a Pro key for violations of these Terms without refund.

7 Rate Limits

To ensure fair usage and service availability, we impose rate limits on requests:

• Free tier: 30 URL checks per day (keyed by IP address)
• Pro tier: 500 URL checks per day (keyed by Pro key)

Excessive or abusive use may result in temporary or permanent blocking. We reserve the right to modify rate limits at any time.

8 Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

9 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
